Here you will find out about the different topics and fun learning that takes place in our class. You can find news, help or reminders you may need regarding your child.

 General Information

PE

The children should have a school kit of a blue T-shirt, maroon shorts and black pumps. Please ensure that, as with all items of uniform, it is clearly labelled. It saves so much time and trouble. This term, P.E is every Wednesday. Kits must be in school on this day.

Reading

Miss Sanderson and I try our very best to listen to your child read each day and we would be delighted if you could listen to your child read as often as possible. Could you please sign the book and make any comments or let us know any difficulties they may have had. Your co-operation in this matter is really appreciated as it can make such a huge difference to your child’s progress. I know that at times there is a temptation to read more than we have asked but I would say that in a majority of cases please only read what we have put in the book. Don’t forget discussing the book and asking your child questions about the story is just as important as listening to them read the words on the page. This is even more important now as we have our phonics screening test at the beginning of the last term.

Any problems or questions please do not hesitate to contact Miss Cullen before or after school to book an appointment or have an informal chat.
