Welcome to our class page! Here you will find out about the exciting learning that takes place in our class, what we have been up to and useful information for learning at home.

In English, we are looking at stories from the same author. We have chosen Anthony Browne and are doing Willy the Champ and Willy the Wimp as our Talk for Writing books!

We have also written instructions on how to make porridge and followed them – becoming little MasterChefs!

We are having a go at multiplying and dividing by 2, 5 and 10 in Maths, using Numicon to help us. Here are some pictures of us hard at work…

We are also working on our estimation and inverse skills. We find cubes extremely helpful for our partner work, have a look…

We created our own number line as a class, from 1-29!

So far, we have looked at Advent and Baptism in RE. So, we had our very own class Christening using Baptismal phrases and symbols.

Now, we are learning about Books and all the different kinds used in Church.

We have been working on our presentation and internet skills in the Media Zone…

This Spring term, we are looking at Programming and will be using our English skills to program our very own instructions!

This term, our PE lessons will be on Thursdays. Please make sure children have their kit in every week to ensure they get the most out of their lessons.

Guided reading is very important to us. All pupils will be listened to at least twice a week. However, we would love if you could also read with your child at home and leave a comment for us to check the following day. We would ask you read no more than a few pages each time, in order for your child to fully understand the book and ask a few questions on the pages they have read. Thank you!

Homework will be sent out on a Monday this term and should be returned on the Friday, if not beforehand. Your co-operation is very much appreciated by both Miss Simpson and Mrs Parry.

If you wish to speak to Miss Simpson regarding any questions or concerns, please feel free to make an appointment with the school office or wait after school once all the children have been dismissed.

Take care and God bless!
