Our school lunches are cooked freshly each day by David Edwards, our school chef.
The food used in his menus is sourced locally as much as possible.
Food for Thought, a company set up by Liverpool schools for Liverpool schools,
sources the produce used and plans healthy menus for our children.
All pupils in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are provided with a school meal, free of charge,
under the government’s universal offer. We encourage all families to take up this offer, ensuring
that all our Infants have a balanced and healthy meal everyday.
Dinners cost £2 a day. All payments must be paid on Monday, with the money being sent into school in an envelope with your child’s name and the amount of money written on the front.
Payment can be made for the whole of the half term if wished. The first half of Spring term is five weeks long, so the amount payable would be £50 for the half term.
If you provide a packed lunch for your child please follow our guidelines;
NO CRISPS, FIZZY DRINKS, SWEETS OR CHOCOLATE ARE ALLOWED.
Sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta, fruit and yoghurts are all good suggestions for items you might include in your child’s lunch. A cake or biscuit could also be added, but only one. The children often feel they have to eat everything you pack, so please be realistic about the amount they will eat. A drink of fruit juice or water are the only drinks permitted. Water is available to all children in the dining hall.
