It is important that children remain active while staying at home over the coming weeks. Get Set 4 PE will be tweeting an active task, for the whole family to complete, for each day that schools are closed. To view the daily task simple follow @GetSet4PE

Here are some nice ideas for activities you can try at home while schools are closed.
Year 3 will be having PE on Tuesdays this term. Please make sure children have their kit in every week.
If you wish to speak to Mr Cross, please speak to him after school or make an appointment at the school office.
Children will be set weekly homework which will build on their learning that takes place inside the classroom.
Grammar and punctuation homework books along with Mymaths will be set every Tuesday and should be completed by Friday. Comprehension homework will be sent home every other week.
Spelling and times tables practice books will be sent home with your child on a Monday and should be completed and returned to school by Friday ready for their weekly test. In addition to the above homework, children are expected to read for 20 minutes from their school reading book each day.
Parental support and involvement is greatly appreciated with regards to the completion of all homework. If you have any questions regarding homework or accessing these websites at home, then please see Mr Cross.
What are we learning about?
This half term we are learning all about our our Local Area. This will involve looking at where we are in England and the human and physical features in this area. In science we will be learning about rocks. In this unit we will be learning about the different types of rock and how they were formed. We will also be learning about fossils.
