Autumn Term
We will be exploring the topic ‘Homes-God’s dream for every family’ within the theme of Family in the Domestic Church.
And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. If you have a love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples.

We will explore within the theme of Belonging within Baptism/Confirmation- Promises. The meaning of the commitment and promises made at Baptism.
You were baptised into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, so to speak, with the life of Christ himself.

Our last topic of the term is within the theme of Loving within Advent/Christmas- waiting for the coming of Jesus.
The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not. He came to his own home, and his own people received him not. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.

Spring Term
Our first topic this term is Journeys -Christian family’s journey with Jesus within the theme Community within Local Church.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Our second topic in Spring Term is RELATING/LISTENING & SHARING- Listening to the Word of God and sharing Holy Communion within the theme Relating within Eucharist.
The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in memory of me.” In the same way, after supper, he took the cup and said “This cup is God’s new covenant sealed with my blood. Whenever you drink it, do so in memory of me.”

Finally, in Spring our last topic is Giving All – Lent a time to remember Jesus’
death and resurrection within the theme Giving within Lent/Easter.

Summer Term
Our topics this term is Energy–Gifts of the Holy Spirit within the theme Serving within Pentecost.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served. There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives the ability to all for their particular service

Secondly, Reconciliation-Choices within the theme Inter Relating within Reconciliation.
I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing and God’s curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.
